Billy commenced his studies completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human
Movement) to allow him to pursue his interest in sports and study the science behind
it. He then went on to complete his studies as an Osteopath.
The Human movement degree complimented his osteopathic studies and provided him with exposure to common health conditions. It allowed him to do extra study enabling him to give lifestyle advice to improve these conditions. This qualification also meant Billy was able to work as a remedial massage therapist whilst completing his Bachelor degree and Masters in Osteopathy. This time allowed him to gain invaluable practical experience in treating patients. Billy graduated as an osteopath in 2011 and worked in Melbourne for 2 years before making the move to Geelong.
Billy is a structural osteopath, commonly using soft tissue work, joint
manipulation and dry needling if needed, with a particular interest in complaints
involving the hips, pelvis, spine and headaches.
Billy has been working with mostly the adult population for the past 14 years but has recently decided to include a focus on paediatrics - including infants, toddlers and older children, to assist with any complaints that may arise during their individual stages of development.
He and his wife have two daughters at home and Billy has treated them osteopathically since they were born.
In addition to a structural approach to paediatric treatment, Billy has a keen interest in the assessment of primitive reflexes and the role retention of these may have on a child's development.
Billy knows that education and good communication is an integral part of the
entire process recognising that patients often come in looking for answers.
Outside of work Billy is primarily a family man in Geelong and Melbourne, but can also be found in the gym keeping himself fit.
Billy is available for appointments:
